Wadsworth Bicentennial

Mayor Robin Laubaugh

Welcome to the City of Wadsworth's Bicentennial website!

We are looking forward to celebrating our City’s Bicentennial this year, and many exciting plans are underway.  Please check this website often so that you can plan to participate in each and every event.  LIKE our Facebook page so you don't miss any information on our exciting events.

The Wadsworth Bicentennial Committee is an organization dedicated to the City of Wadsworth’s Bicentennial Celebration, and was established to promote awareness of our City’s rich heritage, and to encourage citizens and business leaders to plan, participate in and sponsor events and activities that recognize the 200 years of the history and growth of The City of Wadsworth.

The Wadsworth Bicentennial Committee is dedicated to developing a robust and transformative commemoration of the city's 2014 Bicentennial, and also to acting as a catalyst for greater economic prosperity. The goal for the Wadsworth Bicentennial Celebration is a community that is more inspired, proud and engaged in its progress and in the increasing vitality of the City, which will lead to a community that is better recognized locally and globally as one of the best places to live and work.

If you would like to be part of a Wadsworth Bicentennial event committee, we would love to have you join us.  Currently, we have seven subcommittees that are working on a great variety of interesting topics, from Events and Entertainment, to Publicity and History.  Please see the menu item Committee Members to find contact information for each committee.

2014 will be an unforgettable year as the City celebrates its 200th birthday.   Help us make it a bigger, better event, and make some unforgettable memories!
